About The Parkday Organization, Inc. We are not only environmentalists but outdoor enthusiasts, at heart. Each Sunday, for a couple of years now, we traveled long distances in exploration of new parks throughout the garden state. We found that each park was different and special in its own unique way, a city of trees unto themselves. However, there were two problematic issues that seemed to pervade the beauty of each park we visited: the lack of public space being used by the public and the lack of attention paid to environmental, as well as aesthetic, upkeep.

Each Sunday, the small group of 'regular' attendees we had conjured up aided in the removal of litter from various parks throughout the state. Each week, a greater number of people attended our treks into New Jersey's vast wilderness. It has since become a tradition that Sunday is Park Day. We would like to, over time, designate a specific day to each park in the state when the surrounding communities and our dedicated staff are able to clean and beautify all of New Jersey's public lands.
